Kristen Gregory is the artist behind Bric-A-Brac Pattern Lab. Her surface pattern work combines photography, science, nature, and everyday observations into bold, contemporary designs. With a background in Digital Imaging and 11 years in neuroscience research, Kristen brings both a visual and scientific perspective to her work, along with a trained eye for detail, composition, and observation. Photography remains central to her process: she collects images from the world around her and transforms them into patterns for fabric, wallpaper, home goods, and editorial applications.
Outside the pattern lab, she enjoys hiking with her husband and puppy, sewing, 3D printing, and hands-on projects that keep her curious and creatively engaged.
